From research with individuals, groups and societies to exploration and studies in politics and economics, social scientists at UC Davis look to ask questions, solve problems and raise up the next generation of global citizens and scholars.
Already known for its collaborative culture, UC Davis launched an Institute for Social Sciences in fall 2014 to further promote interdisciplinary research among social scientists campuswide. For four years, the institute supported work reaching across culture, class, social norms, politics, mobility, economics, values, technology, language, communication and history. The institute also hosted a variety of talks and conferences that focused on critical societal challenges and brought international leaders to the campus.
