That’s nice anyways here is a bagel recipe
### Ingredients:
- 4 cups bread flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1¼ cups warm water (110°F to 115°F)
- 1 tablespoon baking soda (for boiling water)
### Optional Toppings:
- Sesame seeds
- Poppy seeds
- Everything bagel seasoning
- Sea salt
### Instructions:
1. *Prepare the Dough:*
1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
2. Add the warm water and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
2. *First Rise:*
1. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
3. *Shape the Bagels:*
1. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces.
2. Shape each piece into a ball. Poke a hole through the center of each ball with your finger and gently stretch the hole to about 2 inches in diameter.
3. Place the shaped bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a damp towel and let them rest for 10 minutes.
4. *Preheat Oven:*
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
5. *Boil the Bagels:*
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the baking soda to the boiling water.
2. Boil the bagels in batches, 2-3 at a time. Boil for 1 minute on each side. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
6. *Add Toppings:*
1. If using toppings, immediately sprinkle them on the bagels after boiling.
7. *Bake the Bagels:*
1. Bake the bagels in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
8. *Cool and Serve:*
1. Remove the bagels from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
2. Serve fresh or store in an airtight container for up to a few days.
Enjoy your homemade bagels!
