Hello... Beautiful old tea tins......😍 I would not paint them...just wash gently, dry well, and may be mat varnish.... I use a lot of vintage tins (and old wooden box ) to put my craft supplies in....tell me if you would like me to send you some from France...😉 Hugs Kizi🦋

DONT PAINT! They’re perfect just the way they are. Beautiful find.

Please don’t paint them. If you don’t appreciate the character that they offer, then let someone who will love them as they are have them. Once painted - their character is lost forever.

No, don't paint them they are vintage tea or coffee tins from either England or India. Take a picture and google them to see if you can find them and where they come from, but they are definitely tea or coffee tins!

I wouldn’t paint them, because I love that vintage look. That said, they’re yours now, so your call ❤️

PersonallyI would paint them, because that wouldn't go with my decorations, and the design is so beautiful... but lots of people love them just like that... so I think it comes to preference 😊

I wouldn't paint those, but I like even low value antiques if they're pretty (as those are) and some like that would elevate my small collection of modern and vintage Asian and art deco tins. If they were very rusty I'd paint with a protective formula, as diminished is better than gone.

It Doesn't matter where they are from or vintage, Collectables . Some might think they are beautiful the way they are (I don't) I like the shape and if the design is embossed it will still be visible. Paint them and get rid of the rust . Other wise they will just rot away. Give them a fresh new look which will help protect them as well.

No paint! one looks like it’s pattern is 1920’s. If the top knobs are porcelain or glass - could be. If plastic it’s reproduction and it doesn’t matter. They look too white to be old Bakelite.

I’d guess they are for tea and no, don’t paint them.

No paint but wash gently and maybe gently sand off any rust.
