In therapy I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, positive psychology, and a bio-psycho-social approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in life. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources. Many of them come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, especially the work of Steven Hayes, Jason Luoma, and Russ Harris. The sections on stress and the mind-body connection derive from the work of Stephen Porges (the Polyvagal theory), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing) Francine Shapiro (EMDR), and Bessel Van Der Kolk. I also rely heavily on the work of the Arbinger institute for my overall understanding of our ability to choose our life's direction.
And deeper than all of that, the Gospel of Jesus Christ orients my personal worldview and sense of security, peace, hope, and love www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/believe

Just to be clear- this tongue in cheek - I find this amusing:)

What a relief! If those words weren’t “corrected” the results would have been catastrophic.

Those persons need help... I'd say they are in the right channel but may not be taking full advantage of the contents

It really doesn't matter, a lot of words have multiple accepted pronunciations. Kinda weird to email someone about such an unimportant thing.

Nah, calm can be pronounced both ways. You're good

Do they seriously email you? They have a lot of puffed up self-importance if that's the case. It's bad enough to feel the need to correct you in the first place, but to go so far out of the way as to email... Good lord. 🙄

I dread the day we have a single global Internet accent.

You are such a ray of sunshine! And your messages and channel helps a lot of wounded souls. Who cares of pronunciation, exept those concerned persons that are bothered for such minor things. I have a simple rule that makes my life easier ;) "Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter"

I love the way you say calm. Your advice is always so helpful that just imagining you saying 'calm' helps me feel calmer and like I have a friend by my side! I feel like a weirdo sorry loool

OMG!!! You made me laugh so much this morning!!! Thank you!!! I understand your pronunciation, so.... there must be something wrong with my hearing.

The pronunciation of Nutella is different in the UK from the USA thats where the confusion is. USA is pronounced Nu-tella and the UK Nut- ella

I find the tone of your voice very soothing. If I understand what you are saying, you’re pronouncing it close enough for me.😊

I’m good with exactly who you are. As you know, filtering out the noise has become more than a full time job! 🥺
