the UK decision was based on whether the publication had the right to call him a wife beater. Based on the fact that there was an outstanding uncontested TRO, they kind of within their rights to still label him a wife beater.
Where the judge overstepped the mark was then stating that some of the incidents described by Amber were substantially true. He didn’t need to even address that. Unless JD can sue Amber for perjury in the UK that will always stand unfortunately

Things I’ve learned about the U.K justice system makes them seem like they’re going down a terrifying road. One that seems to make no sense. They have arrested more than 3,000 people for offensive language online. Including one girl who was quoting the lyrics of her deceased friends favorite rap song. 😅

Nope, he isn't... They don't get to have their cake and eat it too. That case didn't have Heard as a party, she was excluded on the basis they weren't her statements. They don't get to now say: "Ok, well the UK case proved it!"
No, the case was only against the Sun and only proved that the Sun had reason to call him that and was not obligated to get his side of the story.
Additionally, that case was a joke. The judge should have reused himself because he had a material relationship with the Sun through (iirc) his son-in-law.
