I LOVE this!! Prepping can definitely be a way of procrastinating! Why have I never seen that before?

I’m so glad I found your channel. I like what you said about procrastination. It is the fear of failure for me.

Its important to allow yourself to be a learner. Its crazy how we think we should get something looking perfect when we really dont have the experience under our belt.

Thank you for the practical advice and reminder to embrace the imperfect! Planning, procrastination, and perfectionism are draining the life out of me. I've been grieving a loss, but I think it's time I make this issue the forefront of my therapy work. I want to actually live again! 💛

It sounds so foolish to admit fear. Fear of what? If we screw up, we don’t even have to show it to anyone. So why am I so afraid of failure?!!!! Thank you for your advice, wonderful books and YouTube! I’ve read your books without being able to put them down.

That’s so true. I’ve finally finished my painting today and looking back at it I’ve learned so much more through the “mistakes” I’ve made along the way. And I’ve been procrastinating this one for a while, just starting was the hardest part

I just don't feel like I'm making any progress, in fact I look at my old art and it seems better, I seem to have less fresh ideas, less control and my whole style seems worse. And that in turn makes me less likely to enjoy it when I do get started.

We can sabotage ourselves by high standards/expectations, and then we can’t find any fun from doing art … every project seems to be imperfect and then run away - blaming our lack of preparation or lack of talent… it’s all in our head
