I did try it for about a year once. Not because I do not like meat, but for health reasons. In the end, I just found it too hard. I still used Honey, Rice Syrup, Maple Syrup, etc., for sweetners in replacement of sugar. I lapsed back to being an omnivore in the end. π

Commercial bee farms often kill drones to create and breed their own queens among other very cruel practices.
Not just this, but honeybee farming even by regular old bee farmers is pretty bad, the honeybees are outcompeting wild bees and its bad for natural bee habitats.
Earthling Ed has a good video on honey, and i hope i shed some light for anyone :)
