I wept listening to this. My dad was a great provider and he loved us, but he would never tell us being part of the 'Greatest Generation.' He was an unopened book. It took me telling him that I loved him when I was sixteen for him to be somewhat more open.
Now I'm a dad of two great kids. I tell them so often how much I love them that they won't think otherwise. I am open to them and try to see things their way even when I disagree with their choices.
