Itās the society that is sick. Profoundly sick.
Anyone currently doing well in this society is the actual mentally ill.
Ones who are being diagnosed with mental illness are actually the ones that still have some goodness left in them which is why they are struggling to cope with this sick sick society.
The ones that have already lost the battle or were born wrong are doing just fine. True dystopia
May the Lord have mercy on all of us.

For beings such as us, when we have to learn everything from scratch one minute at a time, knowledge bestowed from previpus generations is a privilage, but also a double edged sword.
This inter-generational transfer of wisdom is not being sought after as much anymore, and as such self-discovery misses a huge on-boarding opportunity.

This isnāt a newfound Nobel prize worthy idea Iām just waxing poetics at 1AM lmao. Neverthelessā¦!
I think the biggest problem, which is going to get way worse - Is that everyone has personalized algorithms on their mobile devices so thereās such a lack of shared cultural information and knowledge. Itās hard for a culture to embrace a shared meaning and purpose when everyone is fundamentally living in different realities.
Screw some of the challenges of multiculturalism - We live in a social world of multi realities LMAO š
There has to be a social psychology term for this, I wish I knew it.
Something like āthe fracturing of the social psyche.ā
Nevertheless- The effects of seemingly living in our own personalized world has had extreme effects on feeding the culture war, most seen in the political state of America. Whereas I would be v interested in other effects it has had on society and the psyche.
Malcom Gladwell and his hair dew recently drew on this idea in an episode on Theo Vonās podcast. Describing how on the day after the season finale of Seinfeld, the soul of New York had a really weird energy to it, a sort of collective malaise.
Or as I would describe it with a little more vulgarity - The morning after an evening of many cultural orgasms with a traveler that had to go back home haha.
Hopefully that last thought made this a little more worth reading š¤š¤š¤

I think the most important conversation in many respects is examining, outlining, and reinventing some ideas of the heroās journey - Most specifically, the call to action and leap of faith. In some contexts of the modern souls search for meaning. Thatās all that really matters
