Processed foods in Japan are becoming like America. That’s so sad. I live in middle of S. Pacific & shop @ a dope Japanese grocery store which has awesome fresh produce from local farms. They have real butchers & fresh caught seafood. For health reasons & growing up on good wholesome food I must say all the Asians here eat fresh Whole Foods. They have less illness or disease & I’m going back to my roots too because they set such good examples. Japan also has a lot of vending machine foods nowadays too.
I’m smiling at the Italian comment. They don’t ever break the pasta, they spread it like a fan into the pot. Lidia’s kitchen is the show for good Italian recipes. Where I live they make fresh pasta daily actually it’s on a different island, Oahu: Honolulu County. I eat the fresh Sun brand noodles for frying or soup. They take about 3 minutes in a pan or pot. Either way you still wash dishes just smaller amount. It’s all good. Convenience is good sometimes.

I break my spaghetti pasta in half all the time. the past boils evenly, the noodles are still long but not super long and there’s more to serve. I thought people broke their pasta in half is it just something me and my family do? lol
