I have been bit by these a bunch of times while spring and fall cleaning of vines and weeds. They love to live around my pond. Never had a bad reaction to the bite but be sure with any insect bite to disinfect the area. I have had reactions to me scratching bites and stings with my dirty nails. Also not a bad idea to wear gloves lol
