Never forget how they tried price gouging all of us.

The fire sales when these dealerships go under will drive the market down even quicker.

They’ll weather this storm too…people keep paying the price. Until that changes the dealers will keep bending us over🤪

Got what they deserved for being greedy.

They can get rid of and eventually will but they will NEVER lower the prices to individual buyers.

Bought my 2013 Infinity G37 in Nov 2023. Got a good deal. Glad I did it back then. Love the car!

The problem is most people don't have long term outlook, that include both dealers and consumers. you can blame the dealers, but consumers should take responsibility too for overpaying for cars when they really don't need them.

And the private equity buys and the big volume players will reap the rewards. And the occasional consumer. Disintermediation has come to the auto business Like bankruptcy, at first slowly, then all at once.

As of yesterday, March 24, I saw addendum stickers on every CJDR car/truck on the lot. And some of them were 2023 models. Ridiculous.

The situation reminds me of a video of a cargo ship carrying new cars in a storm. The ship tilted in a big wave and dumped all the cars overboard.

Lots of really crazy people allowed dealers to shaft them. Many of them owe more than the depreciating value of the auto that dealers overcharged for. I think it's called upside down on their loan. I have no sympathy for the dealers that screwed their customers.

He’s talking about independents and family owned franchises. The big players like Penske, Autonation, Asbury, Group one, and so on who own 100 stores or more are salivating at this because they will consolidate and buy everything they can and guess what? Money machine go Brrrr again. Wonder why he doesn’t talk about this, he seems very in tune with the biz and I’m sure he knows what’s up. I know for a fact that the big players are barely making any money on most of their used inventory from the last quarter of 23 because they know what’s coming and who’s acting up.

Why deal with a dealership when you can buy the car or truck from the company that makes them
