9117 everyone seems to be having alot of problems with this sensor idk if it's the number or what the issue is however we are going to use another 9117 and hope for the best for you as well! Since your also using a new placement crossing fingers!!

I can think of two reasons to not use your back: It could cause a problem communicating with a pump/ receiver worn in front, or you sleep on your back-same issue plus compression issue.
It might work better for a woman with a moderate body shape than a man with a flat butt and big gut.

Just started on the DEX a couple days ago.. I have it on my stomach.. I wanna try back of Calf. I don't think im brave enough to put it on the top of my arm! Plus, IDK what to think about having the DEX out for everyone to see...

Just a question because I’m getting blood work done to check for t1d, does it hurt when you have to push the transmitter (I think it’s called) into the dexcom? And how bad does it hurt to put it on is the first place?

Mine has no transmitter!! I just opened it tonight first time using it and the transmitter is not there

What is the best placement for accurate readings?

I’ve tried this placement & I guess it must be the way my body’s shaped I ended up in DKA because I wasn’t actually getting the insulin. So a hard pass for me

How accurate were the readings? My daughters arms are sore so I've tried her abdomen this time but the accuracy doesn't seem right

Instructions say not to lie on your sensor. Putting in in your back means you have to when you sleep. Which is why they recommend sticking the sensor on your belly near your navel.
