This often happens with inexpensive (cheap) products. There is too much color powder or pigment in the gel and it can no longer completely bond with the gel and no longer harden completely. This doesn't happen with clear gels, often only with colored gels. But here you can also see how thick the product was applied. I've been nail tech for more than 20 years, but I see something new every day.

I always cure my thumb by itself because even with the best lamp it's just in the wrong spot to get the full uv/LED light. And oh my, were those thick nails done by a professional?????

Happened to me with neon yellow polish. I didn’t notice until the corners were lifting weeks later and I started peeling them off myself to discover liquid polish underneath this whole time! First time that ever happened to me

Oh wow! That thickness is ridiculous. No wonder it’s not properly cured. Even so the person who did the nails should have known nails that thick aren’t going to cure in 60 or even 120 seconds

I actually had it happen to me when I first started using polygel and boy did I learn fast not to put it on thick very fast 😢But now I'm licensed and know what to do

Wow that is thick! I've not had this issue before but I do have a super pigmented hard gel that I make sure to use thinner layers of just in case. It takes longer but I'd rather avoid heat spikes and this issue.

- I had that problem but I had a bruise underneath my nails && I just wanted a fill, the women said, you're going to get an infection I have to remove the rest. I paid over $120 for a super long full set, she was only able to save 2 of my nails. 😢

That happened to me with a dark gel polish. I dont know what happened exactly, the layers were thin, i cured in the right position, but i think this polish's curing time is longer than what my other gels have, so i redid it the next day with double the curing time. It worked.
