The longest running study is on this very subject. One guy who carried on after the original guy died found that the least successful intelligent people still earned higher than average income. Intelligent people are healthier, live longer lives, and suffer less catastrophic events in life like bankruptcies.
I wonder if she’s actually read any of the studies. It’s clear that it’s in your best interest to be intelligent.

This is just weird. Mainly cuz it's based on the assumption that we have a general idea of intelligence. If we consider intelligence as basic IQ, I believe there are studies that disprove this argument. However, if we are using the definition of intelligence as "the skill of swiftly observing, analyzing and incorporate others skills", this is wrong on many levels.
Yes, an IQ test can't just say "I'll suck at your job" or "you'll never find a good work environment", and curiosity will definitely help achieving your goals, but intelligence as an idea is directly related to success.
Curiosity doesn't translate into earnings if you don't have the intelligence to use it

Wrong! You don't become intelligent without being curious. She's making a false equivalency. What she's probably trying to say is a lack of intelligence might make you unaware of all your obstacles, so you're more willing to push forward, for lack of better judgement, and therefore just giving yourself more of a chance to succeed by simply giving it a go, not because you knew what you were doing.
