I always had an issue with silk, because of the ethical side. The same with angora, I don't think that those rabbits living conditions would be personally acceptable for me as a bunny owner. But it's so good to know that there's alternative that is still silk and is cruelty free! I think it could be out of my price range, but it's still valuable information. And now I'm thinking, buying second hand silk could be considered responsible too, looking from ethical standpoint, it was already produced and someone got rid of it, it would be wasted and while it would biodegrade over time, it would still be a waste. So I think it would be overall more ethical to buy secondhand silk, even if it's not peace silk.

When I was small we went on vacation to Turkey and visited silk rug companies where they showed the process of making silk. Found it cruel to cook the animals than...glad that there are alternatives!
