X6M had S63 engine which using X-pipe exhaust manifold, while range rover using N63 engine, which had iron cast exhaust manifold

For one, the X6 M5 competition V8, the RR uses the M5 CS V8,,, Other reasons might be different exhaust systems, different emission ratings, i mean who knows🤷

Different exhaust system. The jeep Liberty, commander, patriot, and Cherokees all shared a 3.7 for a spell and the exhaust was noticably different between them (most noticeable when they use an aftermarket exhaust). Exhaust changes a surprising amount of sound pretty easy

Range Rover will always have its DNA even if you put a Camry's engine it will be transmuted by the range rover spirit and sound great.

I think range rover has used a completely different exhaust system and may be a different tuning of the engine.
You can also say this for aston Martin and mercedes

Since the E92 M3, BMW has not been able to make a great sounding V8. They always sound light and as if it's a faux V8. The S58 sounds a heck of a lot better than the V8.
