The âget woke, go brokeâ mentality is getting hackneyed. Revamped movies from the â80s with ruined characters turns off the millennial parents that grew up with icons. They also saw some of the amazing animated movies. With tightening budgets, a creatively bankrupt service isnât enough to support a nostalgia addiction. It was there during the pandemic when some of the more affluent could work from home, driving up subscribers. Now, with limited budgets, a system designed to supplement expensive movies with subpar streaming entertainment is a poorly designed model.

I canceled Disney+ because there wasnât enough to watch and the Mandalorian plot started tanking after the second season. However, I canceled Amazon prime and Netflix because I was tired of their woke crap. I am also, despite them having some shows I would like to see from mostly the 80s and 90s, refusing to sign up for Hulu. I canât speak for anyone else, but thatâs whatâs been happening in my house. đ¤ˇđťââď¸ Itâs weird not having subs (except for Apple Music), but I read more now and have an extensive dvd collection to fall back o

Honestly the reason we dropped the service was due to not watching a lot of Disney content and wanting to try another streaming platform for a while.
Now that every other being around $10 itâs to expensive to have about 4 charges of ten dollars a month over 12 months
(Also the choices on Disneys political stances. I just want to watch a good series and have no issues with shows like the owl house I just want to get away from the crazy crap of the world and be a fan of the content I enjoy without having an argument every time I want to talk about a show.)

You'd think Netflix would learn from this but their ESG score needs to catch up to Disney's score.
