He built some of the wickedest Camaros! All of them filled the pages of Popular Hot Rodding magazine and filled my head with imagination and ideas!

In the late 60's the 302 Camaros won a lot of races in the Trans Am races also. In 1968 they were dominant. Mark Donahue was one of the drivers. Then after that Mark Donahue won a lot of races in the AMC Javelins

This why I love properly engineered car modifications that balance power with handling and braking.πŸ‘

Big Red and R.J. Gottlieb says; "Hold my beer, started this in 1987" Not to take away anything from the awesome Mark Stielow - but the gutsy RJ piloted Big Red to speeds in the 220's.

You guys need to look back to big red. They were doing it all in 1983. Bad ass camaro from the 80s. He had something close to 1000 hp then. Check me on that.

I feel old I remember reading about this car when I was a kid and the reason I still want to build a pro touring 70 Fairlane (I love the underappreciated muscle cars and ones not everyone has or builds) pro touring is the best because you have the classic looks but handles and has the performance of modern technology

This was the car that toppled the quarter mile stigma of what a fast street car was

camaros like this were less than $3k in the 90's & there were parts-o-plenty everywhere

I ordered the housing and differential for a 64 Chevelle Malibu Convertible. I chose Ford 9", with Torsen style differential. Stainless cables and brake lines, polished 4" dia aluminum drive shaft. That car was so smooth underneath. 10 wide wheels 19" dia barely fit the wheel wells. Hotchkiss suspension, Wilwood 4w disc brakes. Lots more.
