The words "spicy" and "spice" are different in English. They look similar, but your sentence means something completely different depending on which word you use.

Be sure to watch the full short to understand the difference between these two words. And remember, one of them is an adjective and one of them is a noun.

Do you like spicy food? I love it!
What are some of your favorite spices? I really love cinnamon and I often cook with ground coriander.

I do love spicy food, but I have what I call a "Goldilocks Zone" with respect to how much I like my food to be spiced. To me, spice should enhance the flavor of the food that it's accompanying or add an interesting flavor dimension to the experience of eating that food but never overpower it. Some of my friends are enthusiasts of hot sauces made from ghost and Carolina reaper peppers, but that enthusiasm comes across to me like someone bragging about an endurance test that they passed, and they develop this weird kind of food-related superiority complex like they think that they're superior to people who don't eat the hottest hot peppers on the planet
