As a young woman, literally, what? Body positivity isn’t simply for ‘overweight’ people. It’s for the rolls on your stomach, the hair on your body, the pimples on your skin, when your makeup looks cakey, stretch marks, or the smile lines on your face. It’s about being happy in YOUR OWN BODY, being content with how YOU look. Just because you work out and eat healthy doesn’t mean you’ll be skinny. In the end of the video, you say that we should teach young women to live a healthy life. What is ‘healthy’ to you? Because being skinny is not everyone’s healthy.

Two other people in the comments have good explanations but i also just wanted to chime in. Body positivity is that you don't have to be supermodel thin or have a six pack or a "perfect" butt to be able and deserve to love yourself. Its not saying that is okay to be obese its say that its okay to be a couple pounds over the standard and that everyone has a different version of healthy and as long as they are able to enjoy life than thats great. The makers of this video are extremely uneducated and are spreading a harmful message.

Body positivity isnt supposed to be telling people being overweight is healthy. It’s making sure people love themselves for who they are whether that be body hair or lack of hair or cellulite, vitiligo etc or even being overweight. You shouldn’t feel ugly or be bullied and it should be a change you want to make naturally and on your own.
