I doubt they forgot her outside, I doubt the didn't notice their child was missing the next day. I believe they wanted her croaked. How did they feed the dogs and not notice their child with them. She grew and had clothes so they knew didn't care they didn't want to deal with her for 5 years give me a break. Fortunately for her the dogs cared for.

I hope that last statement was an update. Her family eventually reclaimed her. They even got a restraining/ no contact order for the professionals who were helping her. The woman was pretty sure that going back to her family, she would return to her former self.

Identifying as a dog cleary did not mean she was a dog, but rather that the neglect inflicted on her as a child distorted her personal reality and mental health. How can a parent forget they have a child and not notice said child living with and like an animal? We humans truely are a hot mess.
