Exactly what we did! Anxious 9 mos old cat, the vet actually recommended we consider adopting another kitten to help with her anxiety⊠so we did!! And totally did the trick â€

I love when people give their pets a chance. A lot of people will see the fighting in the early stages and decide that they'll never get along. Fighting in the beginning is normal! It takes a bit for them to realize that the new furball is part of the family.

You really gotta introduce them properly because if you dont sometimes they never learn to get a long đŹ i had two cats who hissed and fought like in the middle of this video and they never learned to get along and hated each other to the end. I'm glad yours get along

One thing about cats. No matter how often they seem to fight, be they recently introduced to each other, or besties for years, they'll always end up friends in the end. They're not really super social but they can build really strong bonds with each other, just like how they bond with us!

This can end badly too, though... knew someone who tried to intro a hyperactive kitten to their elderly cat, kitten was WAY too much, would actually steal food from the older cat and caused them a lot of stress (not to mention the owners, since they had to have them essentially live in separate parts of the apartment)

my girl cat would be exactly like this. she doesnât enjoy being held for long or cuddled, unless itâs HER choice to do so. which is totally okay; but itâs just so funny how one moment theyâre running away from cuddles, and the next theyâre asleep on your pillow to be close to your scent

When introducing animals to eachother, itâs always best to bring them somewhere not considered the current petâs territory so they donât feel protective (avoiding a lot of fights) before you bring them inside

Just a tip if youâre looking for a new kitten to accompany your cat! Two female cats rarely get along (learnt this the hard way), itâs best to get a male and female or two males. When I got my kitten for my cat he wasnât the biggest fan the first couple weeks, but she wore him down. Kittens have that innocence and persistence that an adult cat needs to become friendsđ
