Hmm. Great advice. But what if you struggle to sleep every single night!? Eventually it's definitely gonna have the negative impacts. And when its ongoing its much worse. Normally the advice from this platform is spot on! But not this one, not for me. 😕 I need to get off these sedatives that I've been taking for most of my adult life. They make me overeat like crazy & ive not only gained back all the weight i previously lost, I'm getting even heavier than before 😢 I think i could get a handle on my nighttime eating if i stopped taking the medication which initially caused it. Unfortunately i have anxiety & have dealt with chronic depression throughout my life. So my Dr doesn't even like when i decrease my sedatives. Even though they were directly causing me to have heart palpitations/irregular heartbeat every single night for months and months! I was told at hospital it could b the sedative, bcoz that was a known side effect. My Dr insisted i continue taking a high dose. How can it b safe or healthy for my heart to b going through that every night for a prolonged period!? Sorry for the rant Anyways I need to find a way to shut my mind off at night at least, so i can sleep without sedatives. Because the last time i went off the sedatives, i was staying awake for several days at a time before exhaustion would overcome me.

I have not slept more than a few hours a night in 18 months. There are health consequences.
