Germany's manufacturing industry is not doing well. China has taken a big chunk of the advanced machinery and automotive market, and with massive shortages of qualified workers and failure to adapt to new market opportunities, are we seeing the decline of "German Made"?

G7 countries not realizing that their glory days of manufacturing are over. It is their own corporations who have contributed to this fall by moving their manufacturing to China, initially to maximize shareholder return. It all happened at such a massive pace that to reverse this trend seems almost impossible now.

Germany also succeeded because their engineering, quality had high standards, they had a culture of excellence and allowed industry to flourish. Don’t boil that down to cheap Russian gas. If all it took was cheap Russian gas then Russia would build all the cars and factories on the planet. Of course German cars now are losing to global competitors because they have abandoned their past attitude towards quality.

Drive a German car and you will see they prioritize precision over longevity. Once those tolerances get a bit sloppy, good night. Japan was very good at longevity, not so much anymore. China has ridden the coat tails of all the other advancing nations and undercut on price.

Forget about electric vehicle. It's the biggest flop of our times. Way worse for the environment than fuel powered cars like the economic ones from Japanaes makers

If German engineering is so good, why is my Jetta so hard to maintain?😂

It's not enough for Chinese manufacturing to improve in quality--it must also overcome its existing reputation as the king of cheap, low-quality products. And that will probably take a decade at the very least.

"precision engineering" is a euphemism for something thst goes wrong a lot and needs very expensive parts and maintenance? If hou want to drive into the desert take a german car, if you want to drive back then take a japanese one.....

Germany and the EU have decided that they would rather ruin their own countries over Twitter politics rather than letting businesses and industries thrive through lower onerous hurdles and taxes.

I believe Germany will engineer its way out of its problems. 💯. Is there another country as politically stable, economically sound, educated, hard working, smart, with critical mass of 80M

China is slowly moving up the value chain. Tough time is slowly creeping up with the manufacturing powerhouse like Germany.... 😮😮
