As a caregiver to my mother-in-law, I have come to realize the IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CONFIDENCE. 🧖🏽‍♀️

As an added challenge, I'm currently going through menopause which can create a lot of PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL STRESS. 💥

It's been hard at times but with THE RIGHT APPROACH AND MINDSET, I've learned how to manage it in order to stay strong for my parents.🙏

In this reel, I want to share what has helped me CULTIVATE MORE SELF-CONFIDENCE during this difficult period in my life so that other menopausal caregivers of aging parents like myself can benefit from it too!

Here are a few tips:

❤ 1) Stay active: REMIND YOURSELF OF YOUR WORTH by engaging in activities that bring you joy or help you relax—whether it’s yoga, walking around the neighborhood or taking up painting as a hobby. This will give you something positive and productive to focus on rather than feeling overwhelmed by caregiving duties.

❤ 2) Take breaks: Caregivers often feel obligated to be constantly available for their loved ones but remember that TAKING BREAKS IS JUST AS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR OWN WELLBEING! Give yourself permission to step away when needed—take short vacations if possible or even just some time away from home every now and then.

❤ 3) SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO LIFT YOU UP: Find someone trustworthy who can lend an ear without judgement whenever things get tough. SCREAM if you have to. CRY if you have to. Having supportive people around will make all the difference in helping you keep your spirits high while being there for others too!

I hope these tips inspire other menopausal caregivers out there who are struggling with their issues while caring for family members—you matter too!

xoxo 💌
