Sleep is (almost) everything... I regret treating it like a joke all throughout my twenties. Never taking the rituals and rules around sleep or sleep itself for granted ever again.

You only recognize the importance of sleep when you get burned out, sleep depraved, and start hallucinating, living like a zombie, becoming numb and prone to all diseases, and when you notice that having only one bad night of sleep can wreck you for at least 3 days, this is when you really know the importance of sleep and of a good night's sleep in general.

In recent months I have played with sleep and now sleep 10 hours per night. I cannot believe how it has improved how good I feel during the day. My life is better, more joyful and pleasurable and my anxiety is gone. I sleep 10pm to 8am.

Tried an early 4pm dinner of meat for 1 week and wow, the sleep has improved dramatically. Exercise is also what he fails to mention , without the 1 hour exercise he does, he wouldnā€™t be able to obtain the sleep numbers he does as the body just wouldnā€™t need the rest , I learnt that the hard way

I admire this man for his dedication to this lifestyle. Although I seem to have the opposite effect. If I donā€™t eat enough, I tend to become wired in the middle of the night. Iā€™m so full of energy that I want to get up and start doing things. When I finally eat something, Iā€™ll get sleepy and fall asleep shortly after.

I only slept 4-6 hours a night all throughout puberty. Iā€™m 6ā€™3, but probably couldā€™ve been 6ā€™4-5 if I slept 8 hours on average. That couldā€™ve made the difference that allowed me to keep playing basketball. If there are any teens watching this (especially male athletes), please prioritize sleep.

aer you stopping t eat before lunch? at 11 am?.. when this is very interesting! do you start to eat then? 6 am? I am not following.. you do not eat between 11 am and the next day at when? 6-7 am? so is just one meal per day? and how to best get one's resting pulse down when you have constant injuries and inflammation pain when sleeping, in feet and legs?

Facts.. my hrv and rhr have been garbage the last two days.... ate right before bed which is my MO most of my life. Would love to change it.
