As a child growing up, I walked to kindergarten by myself. We all played outside from sunup to sundown during the summer and roamed the entire neighborhood unfettered. Sadly, times are unrecognizable from how they were then. That said, as much as we joked with our kids in the same way as this comedian, I would stop at nothing to get my kid back if they were taken. I'll just leave that right there.....π

Even in the movie "Taken" he rescued his daughter, but never rescued her friend that was kidnapped at the same time. In the third "Taken" movie his wife was killed, although he rescued her in the second movie.π€π

Here's the thing...If you are the kid, having your dad say something like this to your face is a big dose of reality. Something the kid needed to understand where the dad was coming from. My husband would say stuff like this to our kids. My 14 year old daughter once asked me what would Dad say if X (18 year old young man) asked me to prom. We live in the south and we are white and the young man is black. I told her Dad would say no. She said "it's because he is black, right?" and I said "No, its because he is a boy, and he is 18, a grown man in the eyes of the law, and you are 14, and considered jailbait. Your daddy doesn't care if he's purple with orange spots, He has two YY chromosomes and that is enough," When our daughter was in college, she was getting some very unwanted attention from a "non traditional" student. She was 18 and he was about 35. You better believe her dad and I went straight to campus police and filed a report. Glad we did, cause he had some severe mental issues and ended up being committed to a facility to get the help he needed.
