Dr. Mike shows how important it is to be an astute clinician. Actually talking to patients and guiding them on better health choices and outcomes in a practical manner is more effective than "villainizing" ingredients and recommending one be at all cure.

This is exactly what people did to carbs and fat. “All fat is bad, don’t eat it” “You should never eat carbs” like no. Too much of anything is bad for you, even water, but too little of something is also bad for you

Love the way Dr. Mike words things. Being so specific can definitely confuse and frustrate people trying to have an overall healthier lifestyle, especially with people who have ocd or an eating disorder. Very careful in the way he approached this. Love it!

The problem is having a Hypertonic amount of Fructose. Eating a few fruit is not nearly as bad as consuming High Fructose Corn Syrup.

I agree so much here! I have a horrible addiction to carbs and I've fought it for years. I need a sweet treat or dessert daily. I eliminated processed carbs, sugars, bread, rice, etc. I have lost over 60# and am very near to my IBW over the last 14 months. I allow myself berries of all kinds because it keeps me on the path. Other sweets lead me to a messed up craving of processed carbs and sugars. Fructose in my body is not the same as processed sugars! Well said
