In my experience, there is nothing to worry about. They seem pretty chill actually. Papaya is just not used to her/his personal space getting violated obviously. Give them a day and they will be best buddies

Sometimes it can be normal for cats to fight as they see it as βplayingβ as long as they donβt use their claws it CAN be fine SOMETIMES

tbh aside from the one hiss, they seem to get along great! what you need to look out for is arched back, flattened ears, ears going back, growling/hissing/yowling (that weird sound they make that sounds like drowning). they seem mostly confused and curious.

As long as it's the tiny kitten chasing the bigger one, you know they'll be okay. They're mostly play-fighting. That reminds me of the little injured SIC I found a year ago, teasing and chasing my senior and grumpy Persian. He was much more patient with her than me. Now they're the same size and they still have the same dynamics.

That's not fighting, that's establishing the hierarchy. Papaya is letting the kitten know that she's the elder cat, making her the boss.
