I really appreciate your attitude and point of view. My husband had internal bleeding, and his hemoglobin and hematocrit were critically low. He was in the ICU for 3 days. His doctor obviously thought we were stupid for not just taking a blood transfusion, but he was knowledgeable about the alternatives and gave us the best care he could. It was a slow recovery, but he did make it back to a healthy range without any transfusions within a couple months. I appreciated our doctor so much. I know he wanted what was best for my husband as his patient, and in the end he did give us what was truly best, high-quality bloodless medicine that didn’t violate our beliefs.
