Yup! Great advice. I wear weights on my wrist now. I also used to frequently contort the fingers on my lefthand to constantly span ctrl+c and ctrl+v. It's really bad. Now I use two hands. After it heals, I'll switch to floating my wrists.

When I hurt my arm and had really bad carpal tunnel for a few months in my one hand I found a wrist rest for my keyboard really helped! Eventually it will get better, but you have to stretch it lots and take breaks.

Just last night I watched a clip of QI that said Carpel Tunnel is not caused by typing or anything else, idiopathic, You don't claim type caused it but clearly hand position, regardless of CP is extremely important when typing.

If planning on using a mechanical keyboard AVOID black switches, they require too much force to type and can lead to unnecessary pain.

I have a mouse and keyboard for carpal tunnel...world of difference.

Yeah better way is to weat those splints. Its so hard to keep it so straight when you have to work all day

I eventually learned to type like you are playing the piano with the hands above the keyboard, wrists straight and with the fingers darting down to strike the keys. It really helped getting rid of my carpal tunnel pain.
