Why is everyone so pressed in the comments she never claimed that this was new and she’s literally Indian - she’s a part of the many communities that have been doing this since decades as a cultural beauty practice!

Y'all stop being mean. Other cultures do things we do. 1. She said to cover thinning/bald spots. We Do Not Do it for that! It's part of styling. 😊Back off, nice trick. Everyone have a Beautiful weekend

Indian women have been doing this with their baby hairs for literally thousands of years. You can look at ancient Indian art and see paintings of women with their baby hairs laid in intricate designs. She is not appropriating anything.

So much hate in the comments. She didn't say she invented this method. She was just sharing a trick that works for her, and that might work for others.

Guys, this method is used by many races with baby hair flyaways and non-caucasian hair texture; it is not exclusive to the black community. Latino, Indian, middle eastern, etc. communities have also used this technique with variations for a long time. She is just sharing her way of doing it, not saying she invented it. 😐

Please don't let people get you down. It's a "trick" that's been practiced around the world, nobody necessarily "invented" it. And also, it can definitely still reach people who never heard about it too. I love it, thank you so much, gorgeous! Much love from Croatia ❤

This is a good video. Many women, of all races can have hair loss, etc. I love This. And, YES, makeup does not have to be expensive. You’re a stunningly beautiful young lady.

To the people saying black and Hispanic women have been doing it for ages, so have been INDIAN WOMEN. Watch old Bollywood movies and you'll find so many actresses like Sharmila Tagore, Rekha and so many more with their baby hairs and side burns gelled into designs, reverse eyeliner, gold jewellery (bruh gold jewellery is a huge thing in India), the brown lip liner with lighter lipstick in the middle and so on. EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU COMMENT.

I have never thought of doing that, exactly. I pull little hairs down and use water. I pull my hair up and do it all around-- front and back. It is for an everyday look, not an evening one. I love your eye makeup!❤

You don't need to do it to cover up your forehead! Your forehead (overall shape and hairline) is beautiful! ❤️

reminds me of the 50s and 60s indian actresses who always had this done on side locks to give that ancient Indian look. you look so cute.

One more tip that I use : tie ur pony leaving and inch of hair from one ear to the other in front. After tying ur pony, grab these left hair and comb those to create illusion of thickness, pull it all the back to where u tied ur hai band, roll it over the rubber band and secure with bobby pin. At last use hair spray so that the hair remains as set. It works wonderfully.

Yes! Laying your edges is something many women do and can definitely change the shape of the face. Like other people have commented, edge control and hair gel work great too. Using a baby toothbrush or edge brush from a beauty supply store works great for smoothing them out. Your edges can be layed in many different ways-find the way that works best for your face shape or whichever you prefer. I like to have more of a symmetrical look with mine and spray with a light dose of hairspray and wrap with a scarf afterwards for a little so it lasts longer.
