Gabor you need to know yourself apart from your thoughts and emotions, in this way a human being recognizes thought, emotion, ideology and any combination of these phenomena that come into a human's purview. When you do this by observing inner and outer phenomena you recognize or rather sense intuitively the difference. What can make recognizing the difference difficult is we operate from the notion we exist individually somewhere even if we can't pin it down believing we aren't the body. The truth of the matter is stranger than fiction because like up defines down or hot is born out of the cold, manifestation cannot be without the opposite which is unspeakable because it's un manifest and is where you/me are conscious from.
The main reason I'm commenting on this is because you inquired about waking up with Adyashanti. It's not as mysterious as it appears I assure you but it's also everything in a way because recognizing in a flash that it is you that is the path will forever give you true North as they say. You will never go off course in this way. I suspect you have had deeper conversations with Adyashanti. He has excellent videos.
