I have been "lonesome" all my life.
And somehow, I have always known it was my yearning for "home".
Yet, in my old age, I find myself quite often fearful of death. (I used to dream of it as a child and youth, and even hope for it.).
What keeps me alive is studying the scriptures I used to hate. Truly His words are food. 🌺
I often find it hard to believe He dwells in me. Almost all external and experiential evidence argues against it. But when I "look back", there is no way I could still be here had He not brought me all the way.

Thank you Sir. Salvation for us believers is a journey of a lifetime beginning with ones' regeneration on this side of eternity. However, we need our resurrected bodies (like that of Christ's) to be in the actual state of possessing eternal life. For the time being, we need to be in a lifelong 'posture' as described in John 15, 2 Peter 1, Hebrews 10 and especially Romans 6:20-23 (concerning the need for sanctification in order to attain eternal life).
