The early universe was ablaze with massive, unstable genesis stars. While none of these stars still shine today, astronomers continue to uncover clues to their bygone existence. And recently, scientists using the ESO's Very Large Telescope identified three nebulous clouds at high redshifts, whose compositions match those we'd expect to find left behind by the supernovae of these first stars.

Imagine a guy is on a gameshow and has to answer a three choice multiple answer question. Which of these astronomical observatories is NOT real? A. Large Telescope B.Very Large Telescope Or C. Extremely Large Telescope

I get the feeling that one day, our telescopes will somehow pick out a lonely cluster of pop III stars while looking for something else

Im sure you are aware of the theory that we may live in a black hole. Wouldn't it make sense if the structures at the edge of the universe appear to be in their infancy because they are comprised of the new matter absorbed by our black hole, rather than them appearing young via the nature of big bang cosmology? Even if it took billions of years for that light to reach us, i think it is a plausible explanation for why the farthest things we can observe are so primordial. Would love to hear your thoughts on this premise. Love your content!

Maybe this is what things look like when they are coming through a black hole

Sounds like the title of a gritty, metalAF scifi novel.

Most folks are completely oblivious to the fact that most of the elements which make up our bodies and our living world are only here because of the consecutive successive birth and death of giant stars throughout the galaxy and universe!! ✨💫✨🙏

I think the numbering system for the population types is reversed. The earliest should be population I and not III. You had to be there and then though to know this, so Walter Baade is forgiven. Also, did these massive stars not all turn into black holes after going supernova?
