Just gonna put it out there, the red and blue colors are primarily from red-shift and not the age. And the distant galaxies are actually younger, cause the further out you look, the farther back in time you are seeing. Close galaxies are much older by comparison and usually are blue cause they have more relative motion towards us and their light is getting doppler-shifted into higher frequencies.
