The problem with VAR and Referees are the consistency on decisions. Referees hide behind VAR when they mess up. It should be like cricket where the discussions between VAR and the Referees are live so the viewers understand the interpretation of the laws.

A lot are going mad because the red was letting the game flow and waving off fouls. The fact City scored shouldn’t have mattered. Ref played on like he had been doing.

Yeah, it is pretty insane that it is even a discussion. Pep even implied Anfield swayed the ref, when he just had completely ignored three consecutive calls for LFC. Not even sure how a referee from Manchester is even allowed to ref this match.

I'm not a supporter of either team, just watch because it's good football. My issue with VAR is the inconsistently and the blurred lines with regards to the rules, how far back can var take the game etc. Because with the current rules VAR can take the game back 20minutes if there hasn't been a foul all play stoppage in between. World football needs to establish clear rules with regards to VAR usage. That's just my opinion.
