My classmates sometimes point out how when i try to straighten all my fingers they are not straight it does not hurt whenever i bend them but does when i go a bit too far

Yep I have 'hitch hiker's' thumb too. I'm double jointed in all my fingers, toes, wrists & ankles. The best part is if I step the wrong way & twist my ankle, I'm totally fine😂 It does make freezes in breakdancing more difficult though.

All of my fingers can do that.. besides my ring fingers, they don’t bend that much. It looks like my hand was made the wrong way with how much I can bend them.

Hotdog Thumb is a variant of the hitchhiker thumg that makes the bottom of the thumb turn to exactly 90 degrees with ease, this condition can kinda make it look like your holding your thumb and its really cool

What annoys me is for people to insist it must be worse or it hurts. Like, seriously, this was how I was born. I have MORE mobility in my thumb than apparently a majority of people, and it has always been normal or what I thought was normal until the day my biology class taught everyone how genetics works.

I have just discovered that i have it too, i didn't know that it had a name until i saw a video about it so i googled it, i really thought that i was the only one who could do that 😂
