Its also safe to say no religion comes any close to discovering or revealing the true god. Every religion extrapolates their idea of god onto a meaningful storyline. I dont think this god is what Pascal meant as true god. We have to wager our belief on the true God which can only be one, as only one can be the source to the existence of anything(even other gods if thats the case) so yes, the counterargument that which god? doesnt work because Pascal obviously meant "THE GOD" whatever that is

I find it hard to believe that God could (as in logically) expect us to make such wagers. It would seem to make everyone incredibly focused on making and hedging bets on how many religions to sign up to in order to maximise the odds of getting something you want. Meaning we take time out of doing other things that are important.
Furthermore, it seems hard to believe that God would hold it against us for not wagering. Such a wager would after all be entirely based on the reward of heaven.
It strikes me quite strongly that God couldn’t reasonably hold it against us for not wagering. Surely someone committed to morality, truth, philosophy, etc is a worthy candidate for heaven (if anyone is). This would even track what I would take to be “following God”.
Perhaps the wager only works if we assume that “God” only rewards those who directly pledge themselves to him. It doesn’t plausibly sound like the first priority favoured by a perfect being.

Pascal's wager goes like this: Oh god, if you give me an eternity, i will finally finish and publish my pensées where i will demonstrate that belief in you is the most rational thing to do according to statistics. But till then i have way more important stuff to do, such s creating my own legacy, so fuck of.
Look what people do, not what they say!

I love Pascal's Wager. I think it's misunderstood. Life is a long series of gambles. Humans can't predict the future. There could be trillions of gods but every human is wagering their lives on one, some or none. Atheism is a wager, too. We're all making wagers (driving a car, walking down the street, being an atheist or religious, choosing a job, getting married, having kids) all our lives.
