It is, BUT, medical or cosmetic cyanoacrylate glue (both the same) , eventually dissolves by itself with everyday oils from the nails. It can take a while, but they aren't as dangerous as industrial strength. Also, what's not covered in this short, is the fact that industrial strength glue can cause a heat spike, in some cases over 60Ā°Celsius. This can cause severe burns to the nail bed, leading to loss of the nail, temporarily, or in some cases permanently. Some women have had to have the tips of their fingers amputated as well.

Take it from me, I put superglue on my thumb nail and I could feel it burning š„ instantly! I couldnāt get it off for a few days and when it did come off my nail bed had a hole in it all the way down to my skin under my nail. And being diabetic, of course I got an infection, even after keeping it clean and taken care of. 1 month of antibiotics!!! Thankfully my nail has grown down and itās all better now, but never again

Back in the early 80s, even salons I went to were using Crazy Glue to put on tips with silk wrap for extra strength. Only took a few times to realize 'tips' were just not worth it b/c of how they wrecked your natural nail & cuticles.

I have used super glue on my press on nails for many many years. Not telling anyone else to do this but I do and will continue.

I used it when I did my acrilic and didn't have problems. But I use poly gel now.

I bought some very expensive beautiful press-on nails from a Pharmacy. I asked a lady who works there how to use them and I was told to get some posh super glue - not from Dollar-Tree!Apparently hers last for weeks!š

Wait no i love gorilla glue gel for press ons! It doesnt run everywhere like w the pink stuff in the skinny bottle! I had no idea it expands though, definitely gonna research that bc i cant go back to the kiss one!

Glue allergies donāt play - when I found out I had one it caused full body hives, my eyelids swoll, my lips swoll so much the rubber band for the retainer on my lip piercing shot off while I was looking at the hives on my face that were still coming up and you could just see the end of the retainer poking out. My lip ring never went back in, it closed during this event. I looked like Bubba Gump did the Kylie Jenner Challenge.
I ate Benadryl and woke up long enough to eat and take more Benadryl for about 24-48 hrs. The hives didnāt even itch! It was just a scary event.

Wow, I'm glad i watched this vid. I just recently asked my husband where'd he put his gorrila glue so i could glue my nail back on. He said that glue is not made for nails. Im glad i listened even though he doesnt do nails š
