I think insight is such a challenge for people who have narcissism. It makes me really admire those who seek therapy and remain in therapy. Thank you, Dr. Grande. ❤

My spouse's name is Nathan and he is not a narcissist. It's cracking me up that his name is getting used so much for these. 😂

It sounds like it would be frustrating for a therapist to deal with Nathans . Thanks Dr. Grande.

This pattern follows the landlord I rent from. He said he had been through 25 therapists (?!). I overheard him tell someone last year (working at home and I heard him because he has bad hearing) about his time in jail. Which took place before the therapy I assume. I actually understand more now. Thank you. Due to my own PTSD I always worry my paranoia is getting the better of me. Narcissistic people cause self-doubt.

That's very interesting. I know a vulnerable narcissist who finally went to therapy when she was getting divorced. She couldn't wait to tell us all that she was co-dependent and that everyone just used her and was horrible to her (this is in spite of her being blatantly emotionally/psychologically abusive to her own family). She attended for about a month. Then she suddenly stopped and told us all that therapy didn't work and was useless. I wonder if the therapist was beginning to figure her out?

Is it more common for a narcissist in this situation to move towards the grandiose?

Nathan the Narssist? Quite an interesting rhyme😊. I’ve learnt so much from you Dr Grande. You’ve helped me a lot and I love your sense of humour in some titles and terminology and descriptions when presenting cases😂😂😂😂. I always get a a smile and a laugh when watching your videos. Thank you so so much . Keep doing great work 🎊

I think that Nathan the fictitious narcissist needs his own web comic. I for one, am profoundly interested in Nathan's further adventures.

I've worked with Nathan. He's a legend in his 'own' mind. In my field, incompetent narcissists were moved from clinical to administrative, trying to avoid tort😊liabilities😮.
