I appreciate what he's doing, because maybe he can't avoid aging, but he is finding answers to so many health challenges that can be applied in the field of medicine, so overall it is good for the field and could potentially improve and save lives. I do think he needs a slice or two of cake. People always look younger and happier after eating a delicious piece of cake.

In systemic science, a general table napkin principle is that you cannot alter one node or function within a system without also impacting total function. And that systems, even non living system, often adapt to entropy and equalize out.
So lets say you have a clog in a heating system, over time the conditions created by that obstruction shape the total function of the unit. Until one day you go to fix that clog and you end up blowing out the whole unit even tho you "fixed" it. The human body is an infinitly more complex system than this simplified example of a heating unit.
But this is why you can actually end up getting someone killed by "improving" their health & why it is one reason it's really important that you get health professionals to monitor you even when you are making positive or minor changes to your health regime. It is also why you need to be careful when looking at research that shows something can improve your health in one area, because even if it can improve one function it can have negative impacts in others.
