First, learn: self control.

i've smoked weed about every day since i was 14. i feel like my reaction time is awful, my memory has gotten worse and im always scatterbrained, even when i'm sober for long periods of time. as helpful as weed is, it can also do a lot of harm. stay safe guys <3

I donā€™t care what anyone says marijana is addictive when you have an addictive personality

The biggest danger of heavy marijuana use in teenage years is not performing poorly in school, but developing mental illness. Paranoia, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia. It can completely derail a life.

Yes it ruins lives. People become apathetic, lethargic, and uncaring of life around them.

Weed sneaks up on you. It is legitimately a good pain killer for injuries or even being hung over. But it's such a cheap dopamine hit that you can completely miss the point when you become an addict.

I smoked pot from age 16, but it was never a constant, everyday thing! I was never a total pothead! I did well in school beyond high school, and donā€™t feel it was a detriment to me. I did know some friends who couldnā€™t live a day without it, and didnā€™t turn out so well! The worst aspect is that it can destroy motivation to move ahead in life.

It's not for everyone. Some of the folks that need to stop smoking are the ones who try to justify their use. They claim its not addictive but then turn around and say shit like " i cant eat if i don't smoke" or " i cant sleep if i dont smoke"

Weed makes you ā€œokā€ with your shitty circumstances. If your hand is on a hot stove you donā€™t take medication to make your hand numb, you take your hand off the stove. Edit: Weed is the medication in this example- it removes the urgency to take your hand off the stove. (your shitty situation being the stove)

Its more about your mindset, some would say that weed destroys your motivation but thats only if you let it. Its also only addictive if you let it be. I smoked everyday for about 2-3 years, then quit, didnt ease my way out of it or anything, i just stopped and i havent felt any withdrawal symptoms because i dont think about it as something that i need, it just helped me relax. And to be honest, once i had built up a tolerance to it i didnt really feel "high" anymore, i just liked the feeling of blowing out smoke towards the end. Like most things in life, it only controls you if you let it.

I was talking to a old friend. His parents gave him 100 dollars for his birthday. He wasted it all on weed vapes and a few liters of soda. Just like that, all gone

I had a lot of friends who got way too deep into it in high school. Beyond the brain effects, their social circles shifted to heavier drug users...and at that age, you don't have the income to support a $20+ per day habit. Many ended up selling drugs or stealling to get money.

There's a big difference between #1, a casual cannabis user, and #2, a full blown, addicted stoner. Don't be the 2nd one unless you're already rich and successful. If you have to be stoned 24/7, then you have a problem. Source: I've been through #1 and #2

Every great friendship ive had that had marijuana introduced has ended in disaster and disappointment. Its not a cure for anything its just a distraction from your problems that creates new problems.

I dont think anyone should smoke weed unless they have 2 things 1. self control 2. a lot of stress and/or ptsd 3. epilepsy

smoking pot in moderation from early high school to college has been fine for me, it will make you stop taking yourself too seriously, which some will argue is bad. I think itā€™s helped facilitate better relationships and put me on a path in life that iā€™m gonna be happier with.

i smoke, but i will say smoking when young can make you lazy and lose focus on preparing yourself for life. If i had to give advice if your going to smoke, wait until your life is sorted and you have your career in order

Started smoking and drinking at a young age. Iā€™m 24 now- 1 rehab visit for alcohol and cocaine, now currently getting myself off Kratom. Addiction is no joke. Be careful out there

In a perfect world, Schools should have a class where they encourage teenagers like 15-17 years old to smoke cannabis thatā€™s pure and clean with no tobacco so they get that experience, And they can chill out and eat, listen to music and paint or play games, And talk to each other stoned, And they would have have a class like this that happens twice a month and they can choose to not do it, But they would get stoned in a positive friendly supportive environment, and the weed would be clean grown in a proper manner no addictive chemicals, Because then kids would have the proper experience and when they go out into the world and smoke they would only smoke a certain grade standard of cannabis, I think cannabis can be good for the development of the mind, itā€™s all about moderation, If you smoke everyday to the point you need it to be awake and go to sleep itā€™s bad, But if you smoke every couple of months it would have positive effects on the development of the mind and brain, When I was almost 18, I had a group of friends and one day I went to one of my friends houses they were 16, and when I went up stairs with them there was 14-15 year olds still in school Bunin up, I was thinking nooo they shouldnā€™t be smoking weed, I sat down and rolled a joint and these 14-15 year olds were drawing and doing homework for school, They were so much smarter than me and their conversations were so intelligent I couldnā€™t keep up, they were so intelligent and spiritual, Itā€™s because they were growing their own cannabis they would only smoke what they grew, and they knew how to moderate how much they smoke, But where as I would smoke a whole joint to myself they would share a joint and there was 6 of them smoking together,
