i would suggest you donā€™t just test the clearance test but also the dimensional accuracy so that you know that your printer is not underextruding.

Just got the A1 Mini last week and man Iā€™m blown away how easy and accurate this printer is. Always got fustrated with my other printers and lost interest quickly. Now it prints every day so far and so perfectly. Hope to order a P1S soon. Super easy to use and super quick also. šŸ¤™šŸ½

Only problem is that this is slightly misinforming. This doesnā€™t measure tolerance to the real world as itā€™s only testing tolerance to itself. Measure that object with calipers and see how accurate it is. Thatā€™s a real problem for bamboo printers. Also, itā€™s highly tuned to be pretty accurate to itself out of the box using bamboo filament, but switch to a different brand of filament or some cheap filament and run your test again and how much tuning you have to do with a Bambu product versus something thatā€™s much higher quality like a voron or prusa

What do you do if it isn't completely accurate? How can you improve your results?

U can use the 0.2mm nozzle but at 0.12mm layer height and it won't be as slow but still way better lines

My lightly modified ender 3 printed a 100mm xyz test within a few off by .02 mm on the z and almost dead on xy. Tested on mitoyo calipers. I'll try this print and see how it goes. I would hope a printer 10x the price would be real accurate

This doesn't really demonstrate anything except that you're not grossly over extruding (but might be under). Kinematic errors will ve equally reflected in both inner and outer part, thus cancelling out.

What slicer do you use also in creality slicer do you know if there is a way to change the size of the nozzle you are using because I just bought a couple.8 mm nozzles or instead of changing the nozzle size do you just change the layer height

Its easier with pla, try with other materials which are more for real use like petg.. Pla looks the best and most accurate.. But in production and to sell to someone probably you will not make a parts from pla

That tolerance test is worthless: the manufacturers simply lean towards under extrusion when preparing profiles so that tolerances are always met. Do an Orca flow calibration and THEN print those test prints.

Being able to lift the ring entirely off is actually a fail. Either the OD of the tower is being printed undersize or the ID of the ring is being printed oversize. A perfect result would see the ring get caught right at the very top of the tower.

Couldnā€™t you print something that would be a test but also useful instead of one more thing to throw away?

When you cant invent, best to "test"
