I’m fairly certain that it’s the polish that they put on the tires to help them pop out of the moulds. Or it could possibly be the cleaning chemicals that they put on the sidewall to give it a better colour.

Wow 😮 I've always hated the smell, it's always made me feel a little ill. I'm surprised so many people love it!! Maybe I have a mild allergy to it.

I normally like the smell of tires. When my anxiety disorder got bad, they started to smell disgusting, like there was essence of manure in them. When I went on an effective anti-anxiety medication, they smelled good again.
