Somewhat similar, I can feel guilty for having therapy. These definitions of shame and guilt, by the way., are exactly as my therapist defines them. (Thanks for the video)

I’ve been rejected twice because a therapist told me I was “too much”. And one of those places was like a clinic that accepts everyone who doesn’t have a spot otherwise. I waited months for them to open up their waitlist for them to tell me that “this is for your best”. Okay.

My issue with therapy is that if your problems involve physical, material barriers that will never change, there is no amount of talking around the problem that will make life easier. There is no conclusion you can reach, words you can hear, validation you can receive, that will reframe it or solve it.
At a certain point, some things have no solution and they are simply barriers and you have to come to terms with the fact that this will be the case forever and move on anyway. And that is not something you can be taught to do. It can literally only be a motivation you produce somehow.

The last therapist I had told me that I was too sick to do any therapy work. And that she was just checking in on me every week, but not really doing therapy with me. I fired her. It was a little traumatic to my trust issues to be honest. I’d been talking to her every week for months and months and BEGGING for homework or advice & she’d never give it to me. She’d only listen. And then she finally comes out and tells me this months later.
