I saw someone with a row of granny squares incorporated into the top half of a cardigan. They went across the back (above bra strap height) and continued on the front of each side. It was just one row of granny's in different colors and then the rest of the cardigan was one color, the yarn was fluffy and warm looking but these would look cute on something lighter weight.
