1) 5$ are NOT cheap watercolors. If you paid more than 1$ that’s not really problematically cheap, just a bit chalky. I finished art high with mats in this price range.
2) in watercolor paper is much more important than paint, I can go with 1$ paints as long as paper is at least 3$ per sheet. My favourite, fabriano artistico is around 5$ B1 sheet.
I hate that kind of drama milking, some of us had this as our regular art life.

You are literally so talented, I can feel your struggle in some parts of this video. I bought this exact palette once, except for some reason the plastic was white. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get any pigment out of the tins, and it would layer unevenly.
I wound up removing the colors from it and replacing them with my own paints, but seeing someone actually make use of one of these is just mindblowing.
You will never cease to amaze us, Huta-Chan!!! Please, keep sharing your amazing work and stay safe. We love you!!! 🥰

Honestly when it comes to watercoloring, paper quality is more important than the paint itself. I would advise to splurge on good paper and go with cheap watercolors, and it'll look great. 👌
