This is not universally true. I ran into bad situation after another. Hostile work environment, bullying, racism. This guyās thinking is old school and solely concerned with the companyās needs. I would never work for him. I want whatās best for me in the workplace: consistent yearly raises, raises that are noticeable. And make a difference in my lifestyle. Plenty of time off. Variety in my work so I donāt get bored. To to get this I move from organization to organization so I get $10k yearly increases. I am not beholden to any organization, while I am treated badly, not paid well, and not promoted like I should be. F-that. Capitalist companies should get on the ball and make it about the worker. And not about greed.

Iām an employer and disagree. What matters is the day-to-day commitment level and skill sets of the employee. Someone who has stayed in a job may not have adaptability (hence the unwillingness to change jobs). They may be used to doing things the same way and very conservative. You definitely wouldnāt want to train a person with too much resistance. Iād want a person who can train me on how other companies function optimally.
